Who doesn’t know this: to be standing in front of a work of art unable to understand anything; to wish the services of an interpreter who can transform the lack of comprehension into an Ah Ha experience, an expert who does not talk over the heads of the listeners.
To talk about modern art means for me, to use the first direct experience as a starting point. What can be seen, heard, felt? I encourage the audience to trust their own senses and thereby create a contact with the unknown object. The goal is to arrive at the point of interest from which the work evolved and the field which it explores. I open a gateway to modern art for the audience through the connection with their own personal world. Of course it is also fun to listen to a spontaneous talk.
